On a generous plot parallel to the old route of the Olot-Girona railway, we were commissioned to design an economical, energy-efficient house with low maintenance costs.

We conceived a unique volume, a rectangular shed with a gable roof like a railway warehouse, which must accommodate all the functions necessary for the operation of the house: from a reduced-plan housing to a warehouse-workshop, passing through a multipurpose covered patio and a linear porch as sun protection for the glazed walls.

Organized on the ground floor and with all the pieces facing a large garden and noon, this covered house seeks happiness from simplicity: a rational structure, viable financing, minimal maintenance, a simple house.
